Photo Update- DAY 134 TSW

Picture says a thousand words, Nothing much to say..I stopped using everything on June 14, 2013. I‘ve been a constant user of Protopic (2 Years) everytime I get a rash.

Aside from my boob area, my neck seems to be improving a bit. It looks darker in person, flaky and very itchy.

Arms and Hands have been my problem area since August. Sometimes it looks red, sometimes it looks purple and will itch and flake, turn red again repeat cycle itch..flake and repeat.
It‘s really disgusting to see you are shedding skin flakes while scratching. I vacuum everyday to get rid of my flakes. I even vacuum myself too! LOL

October 16 my legs now have eczema but not as bad as my arms. =(

I thought I will be healed when my birthday comes.. but that‘s too early. I‘ll be turning 29 on Saturday. Oh well, life goes on we just have to keep on moving. This shall pass. I know there‘s an end to it. Who knows maybe on my 30th birthday I‘ll be wearing my beautiful birthday suit again. God will never give a challenge that we can‘t handle.

Stay strong skin warriors! I know sometimes we get fed up but we just have to believe and not concentrate on our skin. Try to stay comfy as much as possible. Stay happy even if it‘s impossible. There‘s always a reason for it.

4 Months TSW/Protopic Withdrawal

Still nothing has changed.

Arms are still worse, spreadin like crazy, Red and itchy as usual. Hands are wrinkly.

I‘m 5 weeks away to giving birth. How time flies right? but with this TSW you can‘t feel the time moving, specially when you‘re not seeing progress or not having a god damn break!

Sleep is not in my vocab right now, I‘m really having a hard time sleeping. I sleep at 3am, wake up at 5am for itch fest. Then sleep again at 8am.

I‘m still trying my best to hang in there. This itchy red flaky skin is making me mad. But seeing other people‘s blog keeps me going and believing that one day I will heal. I will be back with my normal skin.

Protopic is one hell of a poison. I will never ever use it again!

Update on metaderm Spray and Eczema Cream

I‘m grateful to liz and Hausbio that they were kind enough to send me free samples of the Spray and Metaderm Eczema Cream.

So, here‘s my review:

I haven‘t used it for 12 consecutive weeks because I find it not moisturzing enough on me. I think when one goes through topical steroid withdrawal no creams or emollient is good enough because the skin is so sensitive.

Probably it will work on normal eczema but not on someone who‘s going through TSW. Where the skin is uncontrollably itchy, burning, inflammed and spreading non stop. Even cotton clothes are painful when it touches my skin.

I like the spray though, It relieves the itching a bit. Maybe because of the cool feeling to it when applied.

I‘m on my month 3 of not using any Topical steroids and protopic or elidel. My body is withdrawing from these toxic poison.

Probably I will try it again if I have my TSW under control. or if I‘m on my 1 year of withdrawal already. I haven‘t had a break from this mess yet. So it‘s hard to tell if it‘s really helping me.

Our skin is reacts differently, what might work for me, might not work on you and vice versa. It‘s a trial and error thing.

DAY120- Hospital Admission for my unsightly eczema?!

Last September 30 I went to the Hospital for my Follow up check up on my eczema. Surprisingly, as soon as the Derm checked on my eczema patches, she decided to admit me at the Hospital at that very night. I even asked her if it‘s infected because of the cuts from constant scratching. She just took a look at it and said it‘s not infected(without swabbing it). She even called the Head Derm on Duty that day to take a look at my Eczema.

The Head derm asked the Derm#1 'Are you sure it‘s Eczema'- He sounded very hesistant as he said that. I know he has something on his mind. Of course Derm#1 was done reading my Patient History and all firmly said 'Yes, It‘s Eczema'.

I told them that I don‘t want to take any steroids because I‘m pregnant. They even said I‘m on my 3rd trimester already, the baby is fully developed- There‘s nothing to be afraid of and using cortizone is the only treatment for this, they said.

My husband even brought up Dr. Rapaport and TSW. I even told them about the research made by the Japanese Doctor‘s about Steroid addiction. And they said they never heard of it.

I asked what will be the treatment like if I stay at the Hospital for 1 week. The treatment will consist of Low dose cortizone and UV Treatment. They wanted to stabilize my skin before the baby comes.

Head Derm said, It shouldn‘t be that way, You shouldn‘t be suffering and it doesn't look good. I will be healed in one week if I cooperate with their Treatment plan. Of course I will because you will use what made me like this.

They will mask the symptoms and then what? After 2-3 weeks I‘ll be back looking 100x full body severe eczema. No thank you!

He even said, I went there to seek treatment. I should (as a patient) must follow what Doctor‘s orders are. I also have the right as patient to refuse treatment!

Well, I did that since 2010 and looked what happened? I look miserable! I‘m F&%cked up now!

Derm#1 even gave me the confirmation for my admission tomorrow (wednesday).

I‘m not coming! mtf! I shouldn‘t have gone there. I knew it will happen.
They want to admit me at the Hospital bec. It‘s inflammed and it doesn‘t look good

We just told them that we wanted the treatment after I give birth. But they insisted that it should be done soon.

Oh btw, I asked derm#1 if it could be related to food allergy, she said most kids react to food and not adults. Really now?!
